Posted on 02 February 2018
With only a matter of days to go, the fashionistas are gearing up for a few weeks of fabulous fashion and we have highlighted the key dates for your diary:
- New York - February 8-16
- London - February 16-20
- Milan - February 21-27
- Paris - February 27-March 7
- Belfast - March 22-25
We'll be checking these out and reporting on the key colours and trends as we go along as this obviously has a great influence on accessories as well.
We've had a look at the colour palettes to see what fashion designers will be featuring in their collections for the upcoming season.
It's all about energy this season and the Spring 2018 palette showcases the unique nuances of colour expression along with the core classics. Transcending seasons and providing a foundation to any wardrobe, these core shades can be built upon in tonal stories or amplified with contrasting hues.
The desire for colorful self-expression is a key take away for Spring 2018. Designers for the UK market are comparably responding to the consumer’s growing appetite for flexibility in color expression by introducing more unusual colours and colour stories in their collections for Spring 2018. Overall there is a feeling of optimism and confidence driving a new vitality into fashion trends.
Unique shades convey themes of energy, sophistication and serenity. There are multi-dimensional and grounded hues, while others exude a vibrant breath of fresh air. The colour story is wildly divergent and we see a kaleidoscopic bounty of uplifting shades and feel-good tones. That doesn’t mean that we don’t continue to look for more neutral or classic shades. Whether on their own or providing the landscape for complex colour mixes, core basics are an essential for any season.
And looking to the accessories, it's all about shouting it loud and clear - the bigger the logo the better. Well let's face it, if you're spending the big bucks, you may as well shout it from the sartorial rooftops!!
No major brand could leave their own labelling alone - Dior! Fendi! Gucci! Saint Laurent! Balenciaga! - and we can't blame them.
And the belt is back - with all the 80s inspired fashion just know that a waist belt is integral to the season's bigger shapes and volumes. Belt jackets, sling a chain-belt over a slinky dress, fasten a man's shirt… use it, daily, without fail.
And we've plenty of choice at iBagzy with our Gucci Marmont GG bag and belt, our YSL bags and our Moschinos so hopefully we've got it covered for the Season ahead.
